I try to avoid using the same weapon types several times in a row, but other than that, I just randomly decide on something I feel like could be done easily or would be an interesting matchup

Canta, I have a question for you. Guild style was the clear winner in MHGen, as Adept, Striker and Aerial were all too impractical. Is Adept the best option in MHXX? Is Guild still king? Or is it Brave?

You can't really say that in general imo. The best style completely depends on your weapon and the monster you are fighting.
Brave is generally considered king from what I can tell so far, but Guild, Adept and Striker can still perform similarly or equally well depending on the monster
When is Aerial better than Guild? When is Striker better, either? Striker loses out on an incredible amount of power thanks to the super swipe being removed in exchange for a HA and Aerial deals far less damage overall and crumbles in solo play. Adept doesn't have enough going for it too, it's impractical.
In what scenario does Guild lose to any other style?

no, it's really fast on its own

@@luwdingsenpai I don't remember how fast it is without focus but imo you'd want Focus for the 2nd charge just by virtue of you doing 2 charge attacks in a row which already consumes a lot of time by itself so you want to save any time you can.

You can do a sprinting charged slash immediately after an Adept dodge. It's sick as fuck.

nope, felyne weakener doesn't give you anything you couldn't get without it anyway, you just get more favorable rng as far as the monster's HP is concerned.

With adept style, the charge after the adept evade is always a fast one. The normal one while standing is the same as always
Do you know what the motion values are for the adept lvl 3 charge compared to the normal lvl 3? It's incredibly fast in comparison
78 for the initial lv3 upswing charge, 120 for the following strong charge and 80 for the swipe.
Normal lv3 charge has a motion value of 100

do you read Japanese? I've seen alot of westerners playing MHXX..I could never play it without English language, it would be way to frustrating
007 373 5963 It's most definitely playable in Japanese even without knowing how to read it. The least you'll have to do is recognize (but not exactly read) some strings of kanji for skill and item names. Even then, you can also pick up some Japanese along the way, namely the katakana characters.

Or just play the japanese version. Trust me as someone who's spent 1k hours on MH4/MH4G with no japanese knowledge and ~900 hours on MHX/MHXX with only limited japanese knowledge when I say that you don't need to know japanese to play these games. There are a lot of online resources that can guide you through the game and translate all the important stuff such as items, skills, etc. for you.
(Of course, learning another language always helps a lot, not just for this game, but for life in general :p)

Try using Athena's A.S.S. and search for a set with the same skills listed in the description.

Styles and arts that let you play a lot of diferent ways, old school graphics (better than world, because this style suits better for MH), way more content, amazing weapon designs (World has shitty designs, every weapon looks the same)... There is no way that World is better than XX or GU
and i justwatched the video with the title play mfh1 it will be fun they said or somthin like this and you really should play monster hunter 3 tri the wii game its hitboxes are way more stupid and its harder than the nintendo version have fun playing :)

head locking still works, just not as mindlessly. i could drop a french fry on the roll button and adept evade an entire combo
Tbh older monster hunter games were only challenging because of bullshit stuff like stupid hit boxes and monster behaviors.
